Our comparator companies in Nigeria include major FMCGs such as Coca-Cola, Procter & Gamble, Nestle, Unilever, Cadbury, Guinness and Nigerian Breweries.  Outside of the FMCGs are companies such as MTN, Zain, Oando, Shell and Stanbic IBTC.

We review our list of comparator companies periodically to ensure we continue to maintain an attractively positioned salary.  We want to reward the contributions of our employees in a way that is meaningful to them, so we continue to examine the practices of other companies and ask our employees what motivates them.

This research supports us in developing leading-edge practices and we have developed a localized reward strategy having the following elements:
